For High School Statistics Students and their Teachers

 

DO YOU WONDER WHAT A STATISTICIAN DOES?

WHAT PROBLEMS DO STATISTICIANS SOLVE IN FIELDS AS DIVERSE AS PUBLIC HEALTH, FISHERIES, BIOTECH, AND FINANCE?

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO TO PREPARE FOR A CAREER IN STATISTICS?

 

9:00 am Registration
9:45 - 10:30 am Keynote speaker
10:30 - 11:30 am Round table discussions with real statisticians
11:30 am - 12:30 pm Panel of students and young professionals
12:30 - 2:00 pm Open discussion over lunch

 

Teachers are encouraged to register their students as a group if possible.

The $5.00 registration fee includes lunch and snacks; Registration online by February 29 at: http://statscareerday.eventbrite.com/.
